Schutt F7 AiR vs. F7 AiR Elite
The Schutt F7 AiR and F7 AiR Elite are built on the same varsity F7 AiR helmet platform. Both helmets carry forward the F7 Pro-inspired shell design and include Schutt’s onboard AiR-Lock System, rear diffuser, Tektonic Mohawk, and Virginia Tech 5-Star safety rating.
The main difference is that the F7 AiR Elite includes a premium accessory package already installed.
F7 AiR
The F7 AiR is the standard version of the helmet. It includes the same core protection platform as the F7 AiR Elite, including the onboard AiR-Lock System, rear diffuser, Tektonic Mohawk, and Virginia Tech 5-Star safety rating.
The onboard AiR-Lock System allows the athlete to adjust the helmet fit without needing a separate handheld air pump.
F7 AiR Elite
The F7 AiR Elite takes the F7 AiR platform and adds upgraded accessories. It comes with a titanium facemask, which is 60% lighter than a typical carbon steel facemask.
The F7 AiR Elite also includes quarter-turn hardware, making facemask attachment and removal faster and easier, along with ANKR Locks to help secure the chinstrap.
The Elite model also includes a higher-grade chinstrap and an attached clear Oakley Switch visor. The Oakley Switch visor is designed without traditional clips, giving the helmet a cleaner setup.
