The F7 AiR is the newest F7, engineered and built without compromises. The F7 AiR is lighter than the F7 2.0 Collegiate and F7 2.0 Professional, and while both are Virginia Tech 5-Star helmets, the F7 AiR has a better score, meaning that it is better at absorbing impact. Additionally, the F7 AiR was made with a new internal material for maximum comfort on the player's head. 

Also, the F7 AiR is built with Onboard AiR, which is an air pump built into the rear bumper of the helmet. To perfect the fit, all a player needs to do it pump the air button, with the simple press of the side button to release the air. It is a fine-tuned fit without the need for a handheld pump.
